Answer: The non branching proposal explains about the split brain patient that patient has two streams or states of consciousness in which one hemisphere competes with the other hemisphere. It means that brain acts like two counter parts in which both the hemisphere of the brain have different views or the response.

It means the left and right hemisphere of the brain have their own identity and functions. Patient becomes unable to identify the difference between the competing brain parts. One hemisphere of brain feels pain, anxiety whereas the other one thinks practical.
