       Formula

            Flow rate = Volume (ml) / Time(min) * Drop factor(gtts/min)

      Here

        Volume = 500 ml.

         Time = 8 hr.(480 min)

       Drop factor = 60 gtts/ml.

As per formula

      Flow rate = 500/480 * 60

                      = 1.041 * 60

                      = 62.5 ml/hr.

22) Amount (ml) required to administer 300000 units of medication.

            Formula = Desired dose /Dose in hand * Quantity.

       Here

           Desired dose (D) = 300000 units.

           Dose in hand (H) = 1000000 units.

               Quantity (Q) = 3 ml.

    As per formula

      Amount(ml) required to administer = D/H * Q

                                                               = 300000 / 1000000 * 3

                                                               = 0.3 * 3
