Answer #1

DISTILLATION IS HEATING OF A LIQUID TO VAPOUR AND THEN CONDENSATION OF THE VAPOUR. GENERALLY DISTILLATION IS USED TO SEPARATE TWO LIQUIDS WHICH ARE DIFFERENT IN THEIR BOILING POINT BY 400C OR MORE THAN 400C. FRACTIONAL DISTILLATION CAN BE USED TO SEPARATE TWO LIQUIDS WHICH ARE HAVE BOILING POINT DIFFERENCE LESS THAN 400C.

Refer to one of the BP-Composition curves for Cyclohexane - Toluene above. Starting with a mixture of 15% cyclohexane and 85% toluene, to produce distillate having a purity of greater than 90% cyclohexane, what is the minimum number of theoretical plates that a fractional distillation apparatus would need? Show a sketch of how you determined this. With a drawing please!! How many simple distillations would produce the same result in Question 2.)?

    (2) When we discuss body composition results with an individual, why do you think that we as health professionals should carefully choose our words and try to soften what otherwise may be a harsh reality of poor results? Keep in mind, that even though we will be particular with what we say, that doesn't mean we don't report results or just simply glaze over them to make the individual feel better. (3) Body composition is a very broad term as...

Describe the process of DNA replication in a well-organized manner. Start with the helicase and go through the entire process, step by step. Use these terms correctly: Helicase, DNA primase, single stranded binding proteins, DNA polymerase I, DNA Polymerase III, leading strand, lagging strand, okazaki fragments, ligase, topoisomerase, sliding clamp, clamp loader. Please use correct descriptions of the enzyme function. For example, do not say, “seals nicks.” Tell me what “seals nicks” means. If you speak about something you have...
