Depending on previous (past ) records or observation to particular thing , the companies make forecast ( or predict ) about the future decisions based on these data sources . Mainly these forecasts are very important for sales companies , for policy makers etc.to take decisions . A company can make adjustments in their respective future model that is how much percentage of production would need to expand or reduce accordingly.

But Percentage adjustment forecasts methods has so many limitation to predict because it give only a rough approximation about future decisions and also could not give the correct information about climate forecast , sudden change in demand due to recession in the economy etc.

So, completely it could not say that percentage adjustment forecast are too simple to be useful .
