Industrial relations plays a important role today since good relations between the employers and employees contribute to continuous production without any interruption.Industry means the production process in which workmen is involved and relations means the the relationship that exist between the management and the workers in the industry.

labor relations is the relation that exist between the management of an organization and workforce.It also refers to the political decisions as well as the laws that affect it.

Employee relations refers to the relationship between employers and employees. An organization which has good employee relation gives good and equal treatment to all the employees in the organization.Such treatment of the organization makes the employees loyal to the organization and their committment to their jobs also remain good.

The difference between industrial relation and employee relation is that industrial relations lay stress on the relationship between he employer and employee in a collective manner through their union while employee relation is the analysis as well as management of work which involves the individual.The focus is to make strong the relationship between employee and employer.Employee relation is a two person relation between employer and employee.Industrial relation is a three person relation between the organization,the union and the workforce.Labor relation describes the relation between management and workforce.
