What are the common problems we encountered in developing specifications

Launching a new product requires specification – how the product behave in manufacturing, marketing, and repairing.

Common problems are as below:

No.1) Different views: Each one has own view of observing the product – one can say the product should create new demand; the other can say it should not be demanded in the short-run. Such ambiguity doesn’t give constructive conclusion.

No.2) Incompleteness: Complete information may not be available from customers, because they can’t specify about their needs.

No.3) Proper communication: This is also a lacking area, since the designer of product hear from marketing people; they don’t have direct connection with customers.

No.4) Changing environment: The market and its demand may be changed during the process of product development. If the market goes downward, the new product would be in danger. Basically it happens in natural calamity.

No.5) Ready information: There may be non-availability, since the product is new. A new product must not have past data or information.
