. Identify disease conditions in which beta adrenergic blocking agents should not be used and discuss why they should not be used.
Asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease are the condition in which b blockers should not be used
Explanations
Usually there are 2 type of beta receptors beta 1 and beta 2
Beta 1 is mainly present in heart and kidney while beta 2 are mainly present in bronical smooth muscle ,pregnant utreus skeleton muscle smooth muscle
Non selective beta blocker or beta 2 blocker should be avoided in patient with COPD AND ASTHMA
Cardio selective beta blocker (beta 1 blocker ) produce less effect on lungs and can be used in mild to moderate asthma if required
Why beta 2 blockers should not be used in asthma ?
Beta 2 receptors are present in the bronchial smooth muscles . So when we use beta blockers there is Blockage of beta 2 receptor in bronchial smooth muscle which can produce severe bronchospasm in patient with COPD and asthma
B blockers are also contraindicated in
Myasthenia gravis because they block b2 receptors on skeleton muscles
B blocker also delay the recovery of hypoglycemia so should be closely monitored when given in diabetes
Hope you find this helpful thank you ☺️?

Blocking the activity of beta-secretase __ in theory be helpful in Alzheimer's Disease because would; it would reduce the amount of beta-amyloid produced would; it would result in fewer neurofibrillary tangles would not beta-secretase cuts in the middle of the peptide that would normally become beta-amyloid would not; beta-secretase is the most efficient protein involved in clearance of beta-amyloid from the brain
