Answer: The rapid response team is a group of health professionals who gets quickly assembled to provide care and response to the patients suffering outside or inside the critical care unit hospital. They respond to the patient deterioration. As soon as the first sign of the patient decline, the rapid response team should be deployed. Thier major aim to provide care, prevent medication error and adverse drug reaction. They also focus on preventing the infection at the surgical site, prevent pneumonia associated complications such as ventilation etc.

The team is consists of primary nurse, ICU airway nurse, nurse in charge, nursing supervisor at the duty, on call specialist etc. The Deploying the rapid response team has proven that it has decreases the fatalities and prevents occurence of adverse events.
