The concept of health has changed from the concept of treating an illness to preventing an illness in advance with the use of most advanced measures

The illness are treated with the most sophisticated technologies and are prevented with vaccination.But there are certain chronic diseases which cannot be cured but managed effectively.This has lead to wellness program by creating awareness ,screening above certain age,definite insurance policies.

The health promotion in initial days where done by a provider to patient ,but now a days the promotions are done by the nurses.The promotion has been done in a wide network apart from hospital to social network even by the health care professionals. Simply termed to be digital society.

An evidence based practice is one which is achieved after a complete expertise and research on the particular condition or an event.The nurse must use this evidence based practice in promotion of health ,which can aide in improving the quality of care to a patient.
