Hello! I am hoping that someone can provide me with an example for this question. I am supposed to write a confidence interval problem (not solve it) using this option-- "Think about a population mean that you may be interested in and propose a confidence interval problem for this parameter. Your data values should be approximately normal. For example, you may want to estimate the population mean number of times that adults go out for dinner each week. Your data could be that you spoke with seven people you know and found that they went out 2, 0, 1, 5, 0, 2, and 3 times last week. You then would choose to calculate a 95% (or another level) confidence interval for the population mean. Assume a random sample was chosen, which is required to determine a confidence interval."

There are no parameters for this example-- it can be any population mean.

Thank you!

Solution:-

95% confidence interval for the population mean is C.I = ( 0.2175, 3.4968).

Data Sum Mean S.D Count S.E 13 1.8571428571 1.7728105208 0.6700593942

C.I = ar{x}pm z_{alpha /2}ast rac{sigma }{sqrt{n}}

C.I = 1.85714 + 2.447*0.67006

C.I = 1.85714 + 1.63964

C.I = ( 0.2175, 3.4968)

    Write a hypothesis test problem. Gather appropriate data and post your problem (without a solution) in the discussion topic. Think about a population mean that you may be interested in and propose a hypothesis test problem for this parameter. For example, you may believe that the population mean number of times that adults go out for dinner each week is more than 3.5. Your data could be that you spoke with 10 people and found that they went out 4,...

    Think about a population proportion that you may be interested in and propose a confidence interval problem for this parameter. For example, you may like to estimate the population proportion of adults in the US who own SUVs. The data could be that you researched online by looking at a local dealership to find that 142 of the 432 vehicles sold are SUVs. You want to calculate a 90% (or another level) confidence interval for the population proportion. Assume a...

    I want to estimate the population mean number of times that adults go to the movies a year. In this prompt, I spoke to 12 different people to find out how many times a year they go to the movies. In this survey, I found that these selected people visited the movies 3,5,2,4,4,2,1,3,4,7,0,1 times a year. Calculate a 90% confidence interval for the population mean.

    Hello everyone! I was wondering if someone can help me write the the equation for this reaction, am I supposed to include the M in the equation for this? "Dissolve a small amount of Na2SO4 in 2 mL of deionized water. then add 20 drops of 6M HCl and no more than 4-6 drops of 0.1 M BaCl2 solution and write the balanced net ionic equation for this reaction"
