In case of accrual basis the total revenue recognized would be NIL for the year 2017 because subscriptions are made in 2018 and no revenue is earned in 2017

In second case, full amount will be considered as revenue i.e. $36,000 in 2017. Therefore, Gee's cash receipts in 2017 = $36,000
