          Formula = Desired dose/Dose in hand * Quantity.

       Here

          Desired dose(D) = 20 mg.

          Dose in hand (H) = 50 mg.

               Quantity(Q) = 1ml.

   As per above formula

       Amount of drug required = D/H * Q

                                               = 20/50 * 1

                                               = 0.4 ml.

   * Safe dose = 1-2 mg/kg.

     Weight of the the child = 35 pounds

      Convert pound to kg for calculation.

                  1 pound = 0.45 kg.

    So

       Weight of the child = 35 * 0.45

                                      = 15.8 kg.
