As a phlebotomist they have to protect the specimens during shipping...Inappropriate temperature exposure and jarring can cause hemolysis in transit...Phlebotomist has to hand over the previous sample first to avoid a medical malpractice lawsuit. if he goes back to an emergency for urgent blood sample withdrawal again it causes hemolysis and makes the wrong diagnosis for the patient.
