I just need an idea of where
to start. I do not need all of the answers, preferably just the
answer to question #1.
1. In the present scenario according to the signs exhibited by the patient, we can assume the patient is suffering from Deep Vein Thrombosis. In the Deep Vein Thrombosis, there is an extreme pain at the leg and ankle
2. While playing tennis with his son the twisting of the right leg occurs and results in the musculoskeletal injury to the patient
3. Calf muscles are directly involved in this injury
4. Here we can follow a treatment option called RICE for the management of Calf Strain (Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation).
Rest: It is very important to give adequate rest the muscle, which means avoiding any activities that cause pain, as well as any impact activity or excessive stretching.
Ice: Applying ice covered in a thin towel or ice pack to the calf for 20-minute intervals, several times a day
Compression: Wrap the injured calf with an elastic compression bandage (like an ACE wrap) to prevent blood from pooling in the foot.
Elevation: Keeping the foot elevated (above the heart) is done to reduce swelling.
5. Compression: Taping the calf can reduce pain and help protect from further injury.
I
appreciate if you can type the answers.
