Calculation of Cost of Food Sales:-

= Beginning Inventory + Purchase for the period - Ending Inventory

= $8,000 + $69,000 - $7,000

Basic Cost of Food = $70,000

Net Cost of Food Sales = Basic Cost of Food - Free employee meals

= $70,000 - ($500 + $900 + $375)

= $68,225
