Answer: Calcification usually occurs in the mammogram and can be symptoms of tumor. It usually occurs in women above the age of 50 and most of the time it is not harmful as calcifications are benign.But presence of calcification may indicate that their would be early sign of cancer. Calcification is the deposition of many calcium oxalate in the breast tissue.There are two types of calcification:

  • Microcalcifications

  • Macrocalcifications
