Answer #1

1. Medication - Apridra Solostar

Dispense: One month supply

Directions: Inject three times daily before meals per sliding scale as directed

Units of insulin will depend on the blood sugar of the patient

Number of Aprida pens required by the patient in a month is 30

2. Ordered dose of Regular insulin is 20units /hour by infusion

Available units of regular insulin is 100units in 250ml NS

So, 20 units of insulin in - 250/100 × 20

= 50 ml / hr
