Tissue plasminogen activator(tPA).

tPA must be administered within 3 hours to the onset of acute ischemic stroke.

If tPA is administered too fast it causes hemorrhage and it may cause serious complications and the patient should maintain BP less than 185/110.

If tPA is administered too slow it may not be effective.

Hemorrhage occurs because the tPA activates the plasmin.
