For this week's discussion, you have been nominated to represent college students at a special meeting of the Anywhere County Board of Health. At the meeting, the county health director begins a discussion of the growing drug problem in the county and how to address it. Of particular concern is the growing number of opiate overdose cases being seen in the county hospital's ER. The health director then turns to you and asks for fresh ideas on what the health department should do to attempt to address the growing drug problem in the county. You posting this week should be your recommendation(s) to the Board of Health. Remember they are looking to you for fresh, innovative ideas
Drug usage is one of the major challenges to be adressed among the college going students. It was very important and life thretening one, if the problems has not been solved at the earliest it will be very difficult for the person to adress in the later life. Awareness building among the youth was the old strategy used to make the students about the harmful use of drugs. But these things may not be that much effective in the case of college going students, so we should employ something special for them. The one good idea to make it better will be adding some thing to the awareness campaigns, it can be made use of actor or actress or some other forms celebriies from the sports and explainig about the same is an option, or it can be celebrating the world health day, antitobaco day etc in the county. The students among them can act as a team in the college to make the awareness, because if the college teachers were aware of the situation will make lot of problem. Also to made available the counselling services for those who have been using it with full confidentiality can work towards a solution of the problem.
