As a patient with involved disabilities, improvements of coordinated interdisciplinary care in the patient’s home will benefit me as this will provide me with the ways to lead an independent life and take care of myself on my own. Due to the coordinated care at home, I will be able to perform the day to day activities of life on my own, such as taking a bath, eating food, etc. Thus the self-care will be achieved and my quality of life will be good. According to Dorothea Orem's Self-Care theory, because coordinated care will lead to holistic care that will help in the physical, mental, emotional and social recovery of the patient.
