Hand Hygiene -
hand hygiene is very necessary to prevent cross or hospital-acquired infection.
Descriptive skill:-
steps of hand hygiene:- there are 7 steps to be followed to doa successful hand hygiene.
Wet hands with clean running water & apply liquid soap.
step-1:- Rub palm to palm.
step-2:- Rub right palm over left dorsum & vice versa.
step-3:- Rub palms with Interlocking fingers.
step-4:- interlacing fingers.
step-5:- Clean the thumbs of both hands.
step-6:- Scrub the palms in clockwise of both hands.
step-7:- Rub from the tip of the finger up to the wrist.
Do each step for 5 times & then wash your hands with running water & dry it.
INDICATION:-
There are 5 golden moments of hand washing.
1.before doing any aseptic or surgical procedure.
2.before touching a patient
3. After touching a patient.
4. After touching the patient's surroundings.
5. After blood and body fluid exposure.
Also, wash your hand before you have food.
Client education -
Educate the client that handwashing can prevent a lot of diseases and educate him about the steps of handwashing.
