Our immune system destroy myelin and other neuroglia cells producing myelin in the central nerve system(brain and spinal cord).

It results in impairment or defect in transmission of nerve impulses.

Loss of balance

Diplopia.

Muscle paresis.

Promote the patient to do resistance exercises for strengthening the weak muscles.
Myasthenia gravis. Autoimmune disease which impair transmission impulses in the myoneural junction.

Muscle weakness.

Dysphonia

Encourage the patient to prevent factors which aggrevate symptoms of this disease like vigorous exercises, infections, exposure to high temperature etc.
Gullian barrie syndrome Autoimmune disorder which results in immune system attack to the pheripheral nerve system and demyelination.

Hyporeflexia of extremities.

Neuromuscular respiratory failure.

Proper suctioning to clear the airway and promote the use of incentive spirometry to maintain normal respiratory function.
Parkinsons disease

Degeneration of neuronal cells in the basal gangila region of the brain results in decreased production of dopamine.

Low dopamin production results in imbalance between inhibitory and excitory neurotransmitters.

Postural instability.

Bradykinesia.

Encourage range of motion exercise to improve joint mobility.
Huntington disease.

Autosomal dominant genetic disorder.

Defects in the nerve system results in dementia and uncontrollable movements.

Slurred speech.

Loss of bowel and bladder control.

Bladder retraining program along with pharmocolgical therapy to maintain normal bladder function.
Amylotropic lateral sclerosis. Autoimmune disease results in degeneration of upper and lower motor neurons in the motor neuron system.

Atropy of leg muscles.

Altered respiratory funcion.

Provide ventilator support to maintain normal respiratory function.
Muscular dystrophy Inherited disorder which results in changes in the size of muscle fibers and muscle fibers are replaced by connective tissue fibers.
