B - His antibiotic was given in emergency, he is on oxygen by nasal cannula @ 2 L/min, his last sats were 88%, and his last set of vitals were 101.2-90-30 BP 90/60. He reports a productive cough that started this morning. He has a 3 year history of COPD. He reports Frequent Respiratory Tract infections,
He reports Quitting smoking 1 year ago. Lives with spouse. Mother lives in Nursing Home. Gets short of breath with small amount of physical activity. His family member has accompanied him to the unit.

Mr. Brenner is having difficulty communicating due to his excessive level of dyspnea
He is AOX3.

Resp rhonchi and wheezes
His daughter is present with him at the bedside answering questions
He is really SOB
R - Perform an initial assessment on Mr. Brenner and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
