Asthma and COPD patients meet more postoperative complications that lead to high mortality and morbidity for this patient. These patient using a mechanical ventilator to open the airway causes many problems because the disease not having reversible component. performing dynamic hyperinflation for this patient causes more difficulty. COPD and other chronic lung disease patients have high inspiratory flow and lung volume. due to high respiratory movement inside the lung cause lung muscle to become fatigued and that leads to acute respiratory failure.
Anxiety occurs when there is airway obstruction and having breathing difficulty. It causes distress and reduces patient life quality. Anxiety associated with fear of living, coping with suffocation, fear of death and separation anxiety and avoiding strategies. anxiety comes in a way of identifiable threat with an emotional reaction. they experience both fascination and anxiety.
