Describe the socioeconomic impact on maternal and child health, WIC and title X

The sole purpose of Title X programme is to ensure that every family gets hold of the basic birth control pills , proper treatment during the period of pregnancy, maternal care , regular health check up, education about using contraceptives properly ; irrespective of their background, community, financial conditions, in order to create healthy children while taking care of the mothers during and post pregnancy. The decision of number of children still lies to their individual families . The financially unstable families who can not afford proper treatment and diet , are taken care of by Title X although planned parenthood has almost been detached from this programme due to their abortion policy.

The nutritional part is the responsibility of the department of Women , Infants and Children, known as WIC. Women who belong to lower middle class or poor families often suffer from malnutrition during the period of pregnancy which in turn gives rise to various diseases and even leads to miscarriages at times . The babies born from such mother have several deficiencies of calcium ,vitamin etc. owing to lack of proper nutrition causing severe ailments in future . Thus this would create a havoc challenge before a nation , especially a developing or underdeveloped one , if not taken care of . WIC works hand in hand with Title X to solve these anomalies at the earliest possible and have been considerably successful till date . Pregnant women, mothers with infants as young as less that 5 years of age get benefitted via these 2 programmes by getting food packages boosted by high nutritional levels and free health check ups time to time.
