12. After completion of her care, the linens need to be changed on Ms. Johnson's bed. The hydraulic lift to move her to the chair at the bedside is not available. Of the alternatives, which one is most reasonable to implement? Why are the others not as reasonable? d. What aspects of this situation require the most careful attention?

a, The first alternative is to make an occupied bed , which requires more than one person. The second alternative is to transfer the client from bed to strectcher,which requires three to four nurses. The third alternnative is to move the client to one side of the bed, which requires two nurses to perform.The fourth alternative is to assist the client to shift from bed to chair.

b, A physiotherapist can give more alternatives because they are well trained to maintain the body mechanics, any impropee body mechanics leads to complications like musculoskeletal injuries,muscle fatique, orthostatic hypotension,hypostatic bronchopneumonia ,decreased basal metabolic rate, complications of immobility, eg; pressure sores,contractures, constipation,etc.

c,The most applicable one in all of the  alternative methods is the first method , making an occupied bed to change the linen,the other methods are also reasonable but those methods need more man power to perform.

d, The most careful atttention needed aspect in Ms.johnson, is the controlling of the glucose level in the blood by giving proper medication .As the client expericed hemiplegia ,retinopathy, and peripheral neuropathy which shows the complications that occurs because of diabetic mellitus.Regular check for the glucose level and maintaining diet therapy needs to be follow.
