Asking someone like me who’s from a poor country where there is no justice, people dying daily, and the government do little to help the people, if I think the US have a stable government the answer would be absolutely! I think the US have a stable government. The US have a stable government because democracy allow citizens their right to vote to choose their government. It is a government of the people, by the people, for the people as Abraham Lincoln defined it. I know others would degree because of what’s going on nowadays, that would leave someone questioning if the united states a true democracy. The last election did have me asking myself is it really by the people and for the people? Are citizens really making decisions concerning our government? Our text book describes how the power of the people, behind such democratic governments that is the citizens whom elect those in high office, and those in that position make the laws, policies and programs that society so depends on. I think the US represent what a true democracy is by allowing citizens to vote or make decision on every single issue within our society and government. I know some would argue to say our politicians make decisions based off what is good for themselves, not necessarily for the best interest of the people. I would have to disagree because every decision made by our government either affect us or benefit us. I believe the US have a stable democracy even though everything is not perfect. “With the United States and Great Britain supporting democracy all over the world, many developing countries are creating models based on these two countries. There is a prevailing thought that more democracies lead to greater political stability
