Privacy of individual health information means maintaining confidentiality, and there will be a some rules and regulations and rights to access that information, by who are maintaining that reports, whether these are electronic, written or oral.

Protected health information ( PHI) is including demographic information, medical histories, laboratory tests and it's results, patient condition, and the insurence information and other patient related information. It is also called as personal health information.

Principles :

1. The individuals have right to access their information by request format. That means with in the 30 days of request, the peoples can access their information from there authorities.

Whether it is in electronically, or in written formats.

And also privacy and confidentiality will be there for clients personal information.

2. Principle for protection of client personal health information: it means the protection is very important to maintain standards of work or health care.

If there is no protection the legal complications are arises by accessing information by in authorized persons.

By using some rules and regulations the information should be protected. It is not only to the patients sake but also for health care providers.
