The Eastern Medical Center has some external and internal problems .At first the internal problems are-

i) physician ,who have autonomy hire more than one secretary and physician extenders.

ii) The centers are completely dependent on physician's reputation to sustain its existence.

iii)a) There is no strategy for materials management.

b) No documentation for procedures.

c)No quality monitoring system.

d)They did not notice the changes in the market environment, mounting competition and changes in patient preferences.

IV) service staffs of the centerare not properly trained and are underdeveloped.

v)The deficiency of physician.

The External problems are-

i)They have not adopted the new technologies in the treatment of breast condition.

ii) they have not developed any information system to integrate services,collect database and measures outcome.

iii) there are many inefficiencies in the process from scheduling patients to providing services and sending them home satisfied.

IV) they have ignored the importance of information system.

v) the center has not aligned with insurances providers.

This problem makes the center less competitive. These things create threat for the center and all of these make the services less efficient. Because of above problems the center loose so many patients.

The solutions of these problems are-

i) they should come out of the old practice of depending on the physician's reputation to bring in the patients.

ii) they should train their personnel.

iii) this should develop a system to measure outcomes.

iv) they should adopt latest technologies and information systems.

v) they should hire required staff to make it a comprehensive center.

vi) they should concentrate on increasing the market share and aligning with relevant insurance providers.
