Some of the nursing intervention for autism spectrum dis order are

  • Assess the child for social interactions ,communication and cognitive skills be cause some may lack it
  • Provide a non stimulating environment : This will prevent diversion and make the child concentrate in the desired work
  • Converse with the parents first: This helps to know about the child's behaviour and reactions to different situation
  • Use of medical equipment should be first done on parents:This will get rid off the fear and encourage cooperation during procedure
  • Follow a schedule in the daily activities : This will create a routine for the child and do work voluntarily
  • Reward the behaviour of the patient:This will give them more energy to do their daily works
  • Avoid triggers which creates anxiety to the patient: a calm environment increase the comfort zone for the patient
  • Include the parents in the nursing care: This will make the child feel more secured and fearless.
