Over the years health cost will not decrease to a much reasonable and affordable price as the drivers of healthcare costs remain the same i.e. doctors practicing defensive medicine i.e. ordering too much of tests to ascertain diagnosis to avoid medication. The administrative costs remain high. The cost of drugs remains too high in the USA. Apart from this, the upcoming era of personalized medicine will lead to an increase in the cost of medication.
