Nature and composition of urine

Urine is a byproduct of the body that is secreted by kidney. Normal urine is pale yellow in colour. Urine has aromatic odour. PH of the urine is 5.5-6.5. The specific gravity of urine ranges from 1.012-1.024.

Urine contain 95% water and other constituents. They are;

Urea(9.3g/L), chloride (1.87g/L),sodium (1.17g/L),potassium (0.750g/L), creatinine (0.67g/L) and other organic and inorganic compounds.
