1).The respiratory system consists of upper(includes mouth,nose,sinus,throat,laryn and trachea) and lower (includes bronchial tubes and lungs in the respiratory tract

2)The main function of the respiratory system is to exchange pure air oxygen and impure air carbondioxide

3)Epiglottis is a flap of tissue that guard the entrance of trachea from food entering it.So it constantly opens and closes during each time of respiration and swallowing

4)Every metabolic function of the body is carried only with the help of oxygen
