Accreditation is a certificate for credibility. It plays an important role in the health care system, especially in the record management section.

  • It makes sure that the day to day activities are carried out properly according to the rules and regulation of accreditation.
  • It reflects whether the records are done accurately, timely and meeting all regulatory requirements, as the files are picked up in a random way to examine.
  • not only the patient records are checked but other records for infectious diseases, medication, equipment and other educational programs are also assessed.
  • if the hospital does not meet the standards it may lead to further complication and affect the status of the hospital badly.
