The major function of phospholipid is that is formed membranes on the outer layer of human cells. This membranes regulates and monitor the entry of foreign substances. As it regulates what has to be entered in the cells. The phospholipid molecules substitutes a phosphate molecules.

Lipoprotein consists of fats and cholesterol with lipid membranes. The main two types of lipoproteins are:

  • Low density lipoprotein
  • High density lipoprotein

The low density lipoproteins are not considered to be healthy for our body but HDL is considered to be good cholesterol as it keeps our heart healthy.

The types of fatty acids are:

  • Saturated: Each carbon atoms bonded with two hydrogen atoms.
