Answer: Now adays obesity has become one of the leading problem in the adults as well as in the children. At present children are not that much interested in playing outdoor games, they do not take proper food and diets this causes increased weight. Obesity is also due to racial and ethnic group such as African-American group are more prone to obesity as woman are more obese as compared to non African groups. It has been reported that 18.4% of population consisting children are obese.

To prevent childhood obesity some of the methods are:

• Have proper nutrients diet.
• Avoid eating junk food or food from the restaurant.
• Indulgence in the physical activities and outdoor games.
• Prohibit caffeinated beverages and cold drinks.
• Intake of more fluids.

Childhood obesity is related to Healthy people 2020 because if there will be increase in the rate of obesity it will affect the aim of making people healthy 2020. It is necessary to find methods and prevent the obesity in children because further it will cause development of many diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, Hypertension etc.
