Child weight= 72 lbs=32.72 kg

The safe dose range= 10-12 mg/kg/day.

For this patient the dose range will be as per weight=327-392 mg

The ordered dose i.e. 300mg is lesser than the above range hence it is safe dose but it is below the sub-therapeutic level.

2. Child weighs= 52 lbs=23.63 kg

Order Tylenol.

The safe dose range as per child weight of this medication will be =10x23.63 to15 X 23.63 mg every 6 hours.

=236.3 to 354.4 mg

Then the maximum safe dose this child can have per day= 236.3 X 4 to 354.4X4 mg

=945.2 mg to 1417.2 mg per day will be the safe dose in this patient
