1 .Classification of drugs on the basis of therapautic uses.

a) Analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs: This type of drugs also includes non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs. Antipyretic, analgesic ,and anti-inflammatory drugs. Examples are Paracetamol, ibuprofen, diclofenac sodium.

b) Antibiotics : antibiotics are chemical substances which use to kill the microorganisms or suppress the growth of microorganisms .Examples are penicillins,macrolide aminoglycoside, carbapenams antibiotic groups. Examples drugs are amoxicilline ,Azithromycin, meropenam.

c. Antiviral drugs. These are drugs to used for cure viral infections such as cold, fever, cough.examples are aciclovir.Antiviral drugs are antibiotics, antipathogenics and antibacterial drugs.

d. Anticancer drugs. These are drugs which inhibits the development of the cancer or carcinogen.

e. Sedatives and hypnotics.Thes type of drugs produced anaesthesia and induced sleep. Example.benzodiazepines.

f. Antidepressants drugs .these are drugs use for depression disorder such as sad mood,overthinking .serotonin is the example of drug.

g. Antifungal drugs.these type of drugs used to treat fungal infections .Examples are neomycin, tobramycin, clobesitol.

2.Classification of poisons:poisons are any substance relatively small quantities that can cause death or illness in living organisms by chemical action.

Classification of poison depending on their sources.

a. Domestic or homocidals. These poisons obtained from detergents, disinfectants,cleansing agents, antiseptics.

b. Agriculture. Pesticides, insecticides.

c. Foods and drinks .Food additives, contaminated products, preservatives,food grains.

d. Industrial .Industrial waste biproduts as metals and arsenic.

e. Accidental and suicidal.Barbiturates,aspirin,opoids.

1)Schedule 2drugs. In these schedule involved narcotic type of drugs that means cocaine, methadone. These drugs having high potential for abuse. Leading to severe psychological and physiological dependence.

2) Schedule 3 drugs .These are narcotic and non narcotic type of drugs having potential for abuse less than schedule 1.Abuse lead to moderate and high physiological dependence. Examples are ketamine,benzphetamine.

3.Schedule 4. In these schedule drugs having low potential for abuse relative in substances in schedule three. These are sedatives and anasthetic category drugs. Examples are Alprazolam, clonazepam ,midazolam.

4.schedule 8.These type of drugs including drugs and poisons having high potential for abuse and addiction. These are controlled type of drugs including Alprazolam, ketamine,barbiturates and cocaine.
