Answer #1

Answer: Tuberculosis is a disease which is caused by mycobacterium Tuberculosis. When this bacteria enters to the body, it slowly acts and spread to overall parts of the lungs. When this bacteria gets fully developed, the symptoms occurs such as continuous coughing, green colour sputum etc.

The tuberculosis is transmitted by the coming in contact with the patient's bodily fluids, used clothes and towels etc.

The treatment includes medication such as:

  • Isoniazid
  • Rifampin
  • Ethambutol
  • Pyrazinamide

The combination of the drug is given as bacteriostatic and bactericidal. The drug should be completed for the given period of the time and should not be dropped in between the course as it makes bacteria more resistant and causing the treatment more difficult.

Prevention can be taken such as not coming in contact with the patient's bodily fluids, not using same clothes as well as maintenance of the hygiene.
