This case study clearly states the negligence of a receptionist and making the patient land up I hysterectomy. People who are in healthcare profession should be always cautious and alert.It is the duty of the receptionist to fix an appointment when the patient complained of cramping pain and discomfort. As the receptionist is not from a medical background she shouldn't have informed Nichole that the condition is normal and pregnancy can be confirmed only by a test.
It is the responsibility of the receptionist to inform to the obstetrician for suggestions and then letting know the patient.
