Evaluation designs play a major role in the continuation of health programmes. Evaluation is an integral part of public health. Through evaluation effectiveness of health programmes can be checked inturn it will help us to determine whether to continue the health programmes or not.

Public health programmes are often complex and have to address large populations and problems. If the evaluation conducts in a feasible and practical also in ethical manner, it will serve a good purpose. Questions used in evauation design are in the areas of implementation, effectiveness, efficiency, cost effectiveness. To ensure that the resources are not washed off by ineffective programmes also the effective programmes are maintaining by the Government, evaluation process is used. Thus it plays a major role in continuing the public health programme .
