Bluetooth, Infrared, zinger, USB etc are all modern wireless technologies being used in modern world.. Among these let us see about ZigBee technology

ZigBee technology

It is an open global standard for wireless technologies designed to use low power digital radio signals for personal area network

ZigBee operates on the IEEE 802.15.4 specifications and is used to create networks that require low data transportation rate, energy efficiency and secure networking

in simple terms it is the wireless technology used in medical devices and other non medical devices to make them work efficiently...
