Yet Utah residents are reported to be among the healthiest in the United States and Nevada residents among the least healthy. At Lu least on the surface, this difference appears to result as a function of lifestyle choice. Utah is inhabited primarily by Mormons, who by religious doctrine avoid alcohol, cigarettes, and illicit drug use and often live in large, stable families. Alcohol and cigarette consumption is higher in Nevada, and family structure there appears less stable.

Inorder to decrease the substance abuse ,goverment should impose some laws through which they are able to restrict the production,and supply of alchohol,cigerette and drugs.if they have licence ,permission can be given to such manufactures.imprisonment should be given for the people who violate the law.Moreover,strict orders should be provided that narcotics drugs should not give any one without doctors prescription.Thus ,i think restriction of these substance should based on its manufacture,import and transportation.otherthan that rulerbody should apply sin tax on alchohol,drugs and cigerettes so that the production can be decreased to a great extent.when manufacture get decreased availablity of substance will reduce .so,there will be reduction of substance abuse.
