Consult the PowerPoint on the nursing process in Module 4 for information on SMART goals.

Write 2 interventions for each SMART goal that seem most likely to help Ms. Betty to achieve her patient goals.

Here is the scenario once again:

While out gardening, your neighbor Miss Betty, (she is 81 years old) comes across the yard to visit. Miss Betty, seems somewhat agitated and tense. She told you she is "having trouble making decisions and keeping up with her finances". Also, that some days, she finds herself with "no energy" and just sits and watches television all day. She also tells you that she just doesn?t seem to be able sleep lately. She ?hasn?t slept the whole night really for about a week, and that her thoughts just seem to run away with her?. You are concerned about your neighbor. She is such a sweet lady. In speaking to you the next evening while she is getting her mail, she confides that she feels badly that she ?can?t seem to keep up with her routine, and that she seems lost without her husband.? The next week, while working on the medical-surgical unit at the hospital in your rural farming community, you learn that the new admission on your unit is your neighbor, Miss Betty.
