Ans)1) Black stools often indicate a high intestinal or nasogastric hemorrhage. ( Partially digested blood appears black because of chemical changes).

2) The stomach secretes acid and enzymes that digest food. Ridges of muscle tissue called rugae line the stomach. The stomach muscles contract periodically, churning food to enhance digestion. The pyloric sphincter is a muscular valve that opens to allow food to pass from the stomach to the small intestine.

3) Pancreatic enzymes break down food in the small intestine. When food enters the duodenum, it is deluged with pancreatic juice, which is defined as an alkaline secretion of the pancreas containing enzymes that aid in the digestion of proteins, carbohydrates and fats.

4) Stool samples must be fresh – if they aren't, the bacteria in them can multiply so it can make stool sample unsatisfactory for parasitology examination.
