Communication is an important part for a better patient care.Some of the communication skills which may help the client and her family members to understand the implications to admit her are

  • Be an active listener to the client and family member and know their thought process regarding admission
  • Explain about the benefits of getting admitted and recovery
  • Explain about the problems the client may encounter ,if not admitted in a precised way, because explaining this on details may make them anxious
  • Have a clarity in the speech delivered
  • Identify the needs and solve any problems on priority basis
  • Explain the approximate days of admission and discharge ,to enable patients to get prepared physically emotionally and financially
