1.The nurse can educate the spouse in regards to the disease condition and its prognosis.Provide psychological support to gain confidence ,inform about the patients improvement and its progresses .The interprofessiomal team like physical therapist,medical social worker,registered nutrition and nursing services will teach the patient how to prevent and manage symptoms .They aide the client in doing at least the most basic requirement of daily activities like grooming, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene ,eating,self administration of medication

  • The nurse should health educate both
  • Inform them about support groups,community help group,social groups
  • Provide them arrangements for all medications
  • The patient safety techniques to be arranged or rearranged in home
  • Portable oxygen , oxygen saturation device, inhaler,nebulizer, walking aide if needed to be arranged
  • The nurse has to inform the safety techniques to be done in the him to prevent fall,call bell or alarm near patient, good lighting ,skid proof floor, side rails on bathroom
