Answer #1

1. Answer

The volume of distribution = 20 liter

Plasma concentration = 10 mg/liter

Loading Dose = AMOUNT OF DRUG IN THE BODY / BIOAVAILABILITY (F) X SALT FRACTION (S)

Amount of Drug within the body ( target concentration or the plasma concentration. X volume of distribution.

LOADING DOSE= C X Vd

   LOADING DOSE = 10 mg / liter X 20 litre.

= 200 mg

option (A) 200 mg is the right answer.

Answer 2.

The volume of distribution (VD) = 20 liter

Plasma concentration ( CSS) = 10 mg/liter

kR= o.1hr-1hr = 0.1

Infusion rate =?

Infusion rate (R) = Css X Vd X kR

= 10 mg / litre X 20 litre X 0.1 hour

= 20 mg / hour

option( A) Is the right answer.
