Abortion is one of the most difficult and controversial moral issues we will consider. Listen to both sides, even if it is difficult to do. Both sides have important moral insights, even if ultimately these insights are outweighed by the insights of the other side. The goal of this discussion is not to convince you to accept one position over the other, but to help you to understand both sides. As you consider this difficult issue, it is important to distinguish two questions: Is abortion morally wrong? Should abortion be illegal? Choose one of the questions above and argue both sides with supporting evidence. Please write your discussion choice in the title line.
The termination of pregnancy before birth is known as “abortion.” Abortion can occur either spontaneously or can be induced. Abortion can be moral based on the following arguments:
1. A person with "right to life" have to exhibit certain properties, i.e. the consciousness (at least the capacity to feel pain), reasoning, self-motivation, the ability to communicate, and self-awareness. However, Warren proposed that a fetus may not exhibit all these qualities to qualify the "right to life," but if exhibits only one or none of them does not make them qualify. So, abortion is morally permissible as the fetus qualifies only one criterion (consciousness).
2. Similar to men, women also have the right to control their body and bodily functions. So, forcing a woman to continue an unwanted pregnancy is immoral
3. The right to abortion is a part of gender equality
4. Making abortion illegal put several women at risk of using illegal abortifacients
5. The right of abortion should be legalized so that women can make free choices about whether to continue or end the pregnancy, which greatly influences the population control
6. Abortions prevent the children to born in poverty or under unfavorable circumstances that negatively influence their growth

Topics (choose one): 1. We have studied the moral philosophies of Aristotle and Epictetus (Stoics). Write a paper showing how one is a superior moral philosophy in relation to the other Use any ideas you have on any of the points they make where you can make a comparison/contrast. (Suggestions—Arist. Rational training of emotions vs. Stoic emotional uninvolvement; for Aristotle healthy emotions are necessary for moral reasoning, while Stoics seem to frown upon emotion as the enemy of serenity.) 2....
In your opinion, does our health care system encourage moral
excellence, or make it difficult for doctors, nurses and other
medical professionals to achieve moral excellence? Why or why not?
(This is your OPINION, but you must give REASONS for it, hence the
reason it is called a “Reasoned Opinion Post”. You are not graded
on what your opinion is, but rather on how well you substantiate or
support that opinion.)

Coupling and Cohesion One of the measures of good system design is how costly, difficult, or intrusive it is to make changes to that system. Consider the problem of a business owner who has decided to use neon for his store-front signage. Neon signs, in which data (information) presentation is bound together with the sign itself, may have to be completely rebuilt to make even a relatively simple change. As a result, any update to that signage is going to...
Control is one of the most controversial aspects of management. Exercising too much control can foster employee resentment and bureaucratic delays. Exercising too little control can raise employee stress and breed organizational chaos. And not only must managers work to achieve a healthy level of control but they must also strive to set controls around the right targets. The control process is about more than charts and feedback loops—it is about focusing personal and organizational efforts toward desired outcomes. This...

"Even though Airbnb is at $31 billion one of the most valu-able private startups in the world and offers more accommo-dations than the three largest hotel chains (Marriott, Hilton, and Intercontinental) combined, not all is smooth sailing. In particular, PESTEL factors discussed in this chapter are creating major headwinds for Airbnb. Take regulation, for example. In late 2016, New York state strengthened legisla-tion first passed in 2010. In particular, it is illegal in New York to rent out entire apartments...
Managerial Compensation is a highly controversial topic in our society today. After reading the section in Chapter 1 on "The Agency Problem and Control of the Corporation," please weigh in on this debate. Be sure to consider important factors such as agency problems and the concept of maximizing shareholder value. Do these views differ in reference...
