Answer #1

The high health care cost in health care services is actually a barrier for both insured and the uninsured people. If the healthcare cost is high, the people access to health care services may reduce which have a negative impact on their health. For example, in the United States, when compared with other countries have higher health care costs but have less life expectancy compared to other countries. Moreover, people with low socioeconomic status and uninsured are more affected by the high cost health care package. Due to lack of money to access health services, as I explained earlier, they have worst health compared to middle or upper or insured population. According to 2017 report, in United States, nearly one in five adults reported to have worst health or they did not receive any medical care services due to cost barriers.

Lack of health insurance is another factor that people have a negative impact on their health outcome. Lack of access to insurance, make people to pay by their own from what they have to a higher cost services. This again make people to not rely on health services which again deteriorates their health. Overall, it is a countries responsibility to treat everyone as same and to have universal coverage system so that no one can be left behind in getting a health care services.
